Contingent Job Posting - Journey Data Warehouse Specialist
This position supports the National Park Service's National Information Services Center (NISC), located in Lakewood, CO. NISC provides enterprise GIS and alphanumeric data services across the NPS. As part of this mission-driven effort, you will help enhance the agency's ability to visualize and analyze data in support of stewardship, resource management, and public service. Diligent Consulting Inc. is seeking a Journey Data Warehouse Specialist to support the National Park Service (NPS) by designing and building integrated data systems that combine geospatial and alphanumeric information. This is a contingent opportunity pending contract award, with long-term potential and a chance to work on meaningful public service initiatives. As a key contributor within Diligent Consulting's data engineering team, you will: Assist in designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines to consolidate data from diverse sources. Support integration of internal and external datasets into centralized data warehouses and data lakes. Contribute to geospatial enablement of data to support mapping, dashboards, and reporting tools. Assist in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and ArcGIS. Work under senior staff direction to develop scalable, documented, and well-tested data solutions. Top Qualifications: 3+ years of experience
in: Building data warehouses, including spatial/geospatial data Developing ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL or scripting languages Supporting dashboard/report/map creation from integrated datasets Strong working knowledge of: SQL (T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, or equivalent) ETL tools and processes for structured and unstructured data Geospatial tools: ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, PostGIS, or open-source equivalents Business Intelligence platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or ESRI dashboards Education & Clearance Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be eligible for Public Trust (NACI) NAC or NACI required to access government systems and facilities Join Diligent Consulting Inc. in building smarter data systems that support the protection and preservation of America's parks and public lands.
