This position, as a working supervisor, contributes to the ongoing upkeep of machinery, equipment, and 24-hour plant operations by providing skilled to expert level mechanical repairs, adjustments, installations and the preventive maintenance necessary for the proper appearance and function of the facility. Ensure repairs and maintenance of all the facility and support equipment are done with quality and accuracy. Responsible for work orders being completed entirely and accurately with parts assigned to work orders and correct assets being used. The Supervisor will play a critical role by demonstrating proficiency, accuracy, and compliance with all requirements outlined. Supervisors have the responsibility to work with quality assurance to ensure food safety. Guides, assists, trains and mentors all team members, keeps the maintenance manager apprised of all pertinent information for all shifts. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and demonstrate both initiative and a professional attitude. They will promote a team setting and effectively convey pertinent information written and verbally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Practice and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) established for the Maintenance & Facilities Department Practice and enforce all safety and quality policies and procedures. Practice and enforce all other Company & Department policies and procedures. Maintain equipment readiness for manufacturing operations as needed in all areas, which can require quick reaction and rapid employment of unique solutions. Directs completion of all PM, inspections, or other activities utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Gathers and reviews documentation that is completed by team members and reviews all documentation for P.M.'s, repairs and parts for accuracy. Direct and schedule minor adjustments or repairs, troubleshooting, and problem solving on all equipment as necessary. Assist in implementing and promoting a successful TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program throughout the facility. Interact professionally with the public, vendors, peers and staff; maintain effective working relationships and work in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental objectives. Provides a skilled understanding of equipment and facilities and assists all shift mechanics with after-hours guidance as needed. Assists in writing, and training to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP'S). Maintains a record keeping system documenting facility use, maintenance schedules, construction records and any other information required by internal policy or by local, state, and federal agencies. Assist with large or complex construction and design projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, architectural standards, and contractual requirements. Assists in developing critical parts list and continuously collaborating with the Maintenance Operations Coordinator to ensure spare parts are readily available for any equipment needs. Use a proactive and predictive approach to develop a continuous improvement, root cause analysis-based culture within the department. Participate in meetings & report maintenance department objectives and opportunities as needed. Attain & maintain Forklift Certification for this facility. Possess a valid Driver License from State of Nevada. Is flexible to work any day or shift as needed to support manufacturing or departmental needs. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Skills: Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical trade school, military training or technical college preferred Minimum: 5 years' hands on industrial facilities & equipment in related industry, beverage experience a plus PMP certification preferred Read, write, speak and comprehend English. Solid Basic Math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, weights & measures Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering documents and specifications as they apply to manufacturing equipment, facilities and systems. Basic knowledge of both (A/C) high voltage and (D/C) low voltage electrical wiring Reads and understands electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams & schematics. Computer proficient; including MS Office & CMMS systems. Ability to communicate well both written and orally at all levels within the organization. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Understands all GMP's, SQF, SOP's, HACCP, Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Ability to dismantle, repair, install, or move machinery and mechanical equipment. Ability to diagnose and repair both facilities support equipment and manufacturing equipment. Ability to safely use all hand and power tools applicable to tasks at skilled level. Ability to direct preventive maintenance on a range of facility equipment with a full understanding and use of the preventative maintenance software Skilled experience with electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and painting. Physical Demands: Due to the safety of others, no marijuana use is allowed. Vision, hearing and speaking to meet performance standards. Ability to stand, push, pull, lift, climb, bend, stoop, squat, walk, manual dexterity and large motor skills to work with the following tools: all types of hand tools, power tools, scoops, screens, scales, pallet jacks & drum dollies, mops, brooms, ladders and portable stairs. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and heavier weights using appropriate equipment and/or team lifting. Ability to work with exposure to the elements for short periods. Ability to work in elevated positions, at up to 50 feet and using proper safety precautions. Hearing and speech to interact in person or using a telephone. Vision to read documents, equipment readouts, instruments and computer screens. Work Environment: Ability to work in an environment that may contain non-toxic fumes, dust, odors, moderate level noise, and temperature & ventilation variations while wearing any appropriate safety and/or protective clean room apparel required e.g.: uniforms, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, hair net, beard net, face mask or respirator. Work environment sometimes involves exposure to inclement weather. May require working in cramped spaces and extending hands into machinery.
