Tender Analyst
JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders, and customized management services. The Tender Analyst is a key support function to Tender Manager and Project Operations. The position is responsible for sourcing logistics cost and service details to support proposals provided to our Project Logistics customers. Assist in driving new business to JAS by providing best procurement results and technical responses geared towards growth plans in place and to support other JAS Project offices. Essential Functions:
Drive the full tender management process from procurement through proposal submission. Collect, track, and analyze response data to create accurate, compelling final proposals. Maintain and optimize the subcontractor database for accuracy and efficiency. Organize shared drives and technical library resources to ensure easy access to information. Represent the company in on-site subcontractor and customer meetings. Create and update forms, pricing guidelines, and technical data resources to support consistent operations. Deliver timely, professional responses to all internal and external inquiries. Develop impactful presentations and materials to support business development initiatives. Partner with the Tender Manager on special projects and strategic priorities. Execute smooth project handoffs to Operations for successful bid-to-delivery transitions. Skilled in fostering strong, collaborative relationships with team members, subcontractors, and external stakeholders. Uphold all company policies and compliance requirements in daily activities. Qualifications:
College degree in related field preferred. 2 to 4 years' work experience in logistics, transportation, economics, or business. Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical skills. Effective time management with problem solving and decision-making skills to manage multiple projects. Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management and other departments. 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel will be (up to 10%) required in support of the position's responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
