Lead Maintenance Mechanic

to join our team and take a key role in ensuring our production equipment operates at peak performance.

Job Summary: As the Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you will be the go-to expert for maintenance operations, providing hands-on leadership to a team of technicians. In this role, you will oversee equipment reliability, perform repairs, lead preventive maintenance activities, and implement process improvements. You'll collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to minimize downtime, ensure safety compliance, and maintain an organized and efficient maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of maintenance technicians in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. Perform repairs and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Conduct preventive maintenance and scheduled overhauls to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Support and implement process improvement projects in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager. Oversee spare parts inventory and submit purchase requisitions as needed. Promote and enforce safety policies, creating a culture of safety within the team. Operate shop equipment, including milling machines, band saws, drill presses, and welders. Assist with mold repairs and troubleshooting issues alongside Process Technicians and Supervisors. Qualifications:

3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (blow molding or injection molding preferred). Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, and servo controls is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb machinery, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled, high-noise environment with required PPE. Why Join Us?
