COOP/DR Manager
USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. Responsibilities include: Coordination and execution of all DR/COOP activities including preparation and after exercise lessons learned. Supporting COOP planning, performing DR testing, and coordinating with owners of new systems to ensure DR requirements are considered and disaster recovery plans are made. Enhancing and maintaining DR/COOP plans and documentation and validating recovery capabilities through periodic testing, including targeted recovery tests that are conducted throughout the year. Performing DR/COOP exercises, which include FISMA system security tests and tabletop exercises. Performing quarterly testing of alert and notification procedures and systems for any type of emergency. Performing shift work to ensure 7x24 coverage and support.
