Crane Operator
We are seeking a dedicated Crane Operator to join our team. The role involves training in inventory locations, shadowing experienced trainers, and learning color codes for steel placement in our warehouse. This position requires both indoor and outdoor crane operation and housekeeping duties, with exposure to various weather conditions. Responsibilities
Train for several weeks to learn inventory locations and warehouse layout. Shadow trainers to understand crane operations and inventory management. Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties. Learn to pull beams, load flatbed trailers and railcars, and handle rigging. Receive inventory and move materials using overhead cranes. Fill out shipping reports and bills of lading, documenting outgoing loads. Adhere to all safety protocols while working around flatbed trucks and railcar systems. Potentially train for roles such as saw or brake operator, forklift operator, and more. Essential Skills
Heavy industrial experience or construction experience required. Ability to read a tape measure, verified by test or reference. Capability to learn and retain color-based inventory and coding system. Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely, though most lifting is crane-assisted. Experience working around heavy equipment in construction or similar environments. Flexibility to train on day shift before moving to designated shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Overhead crane experience in heavy industry or military preferred. Experience in construction or related field is advantageous. Why Work Here?
