Description
General Definition: Assists in coordinating and monitoring the daily activities of Suites Bussers in an effort to provide prompt and courteous service.
Essential Job Functions: Carries out daily operational procedures, including guest services. Assigns Busser duties and examines pre-shift and side-work to ensure all areas are in accordance with the daily checklist. Ensures all employees know and understand their assigned tasks and workstation(s) daily. Reviews daily shift report and prepares shift card(s). Monitors and reports attendance deviations to Suites Coordinator in a timely manner. Communicates written and/or oral instructions as assigned timely and accurately. Ensures quality standards are maintained by inspecting suites serving stations, tables and work areas for efficiency, neatness and cleanliness. Assists in training staff on operational procedures and quality standards, proper service etiquette and customer service expectations, and knowledge of food & beverage items and prices. Assists in monitoring activities and performance standards regularly; reports concerns directly to Suites Coordinator. Acts as a role model and fosters teamwork, employee morale and open communication. Contributes to a friendly and productive work environment; reports concerns directly to Suites Coordinator. Knows and understands the proper operation of all job-related equipment. Observes all safety procedures when handling food, liquids, and dishes. Uses proper protective equipment at all times. Uses the proper lifting techniques when handling trays, dishes, and boxes. Immediately reports all workplace injuries to the Suites Coordinator. Reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment to the Suites Coordinator. Knows all appropriate first aid kit(s) locations and eyewash stations. Knows the location of the fire-fighting equipment and fire exits for the area. Maintains clean work area and uniform at all times. Assists in all other areas as directed or as needed. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED; or 3 year related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong work ethics and high integrity. Basic math and cash handling skills. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all cash handling documentation. Ability to process food items through register system and follow basic instructions. Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guests' needs and requirements. Bilingual skills helpful. Ability to motivate and coordinate activities of food service personnel. Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required, including problem-solving and conflict resolution. Ability to interact positively with employees and the general public. Ability to plan ahead to ensure that resources are effectively and economically allocated. Ability to use good judgment, including grasping and assessing the facts of a situation and draw correct conclusions. Ability to prioritize time so that work is accomplished on a dependable basis; is reliable and committed to meeting schedules and deadlines. Ability to select and develop staff to meet accepted standards and departmental objectives. Ability to demonstrate initiative, including being proactive and resourceful, working independently with minimum supervision. Ability to win confidence and gain respect through consistent demonstrations of personal courtesy, tact and timely responsiveness. Training: Three years of food and beverage operation experience required, including one year of management experience
Licenses/Certifications/Other: Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions Serve-safe certified (Food Handlers) Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission License (TABC)
