We are actively seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Material Services team on 1st Shift (core schedule, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

Job Description

Summary:

Shipping Clerk Management Support performs duties relating to processing shipping paperwork and notifying proper party of shipping status. Associates will perform job instructions in a manner which meets established production, quality, quantity, delivery, cost and safety targets. Follows company safety and other policies as outlined in associate handbook.

JIC shipping clerk is a crucial part of our operation to ensure that JIC is meeting customer requirements and operational needs. The following are some of the highlighted tasks that this position would require: Prepare shipping schedules for shipments to all customers Prepare pick sheets for dock associates using shipping schedule for Honda Lot sequence Ensure that shipments are handed out to delivery drivers in proper sequence to maintain Honda inventory levels Communicate all necessary items to Material Services leadership for part shortages/late shipments or any impact to JIC shipping needs Other duties as assigned

JIC associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

Compensation: Weekly Pay Additional $1.00/hour at 5 and 10 years of service

Additional $0.50/hour for 2nd or 3rd shift premium

Holiday Pay Shutdown Pay

Associaste must have strong skills in the following fields: Exel: Able to enter data for Material Services spreadsheets and understand the use of the data Outlook: Communication for customer needs and internal JIC information & logistics through email and other forms of communications Possess skills to communicate with supervision and other Associates Able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in identifying defects and solving problems with equipment and process to avoid missed quality, delivery or safety concerns. Maintains satisfactory attendance record and follows JIC policies as outlined in handbook. Receives training and reacts positively to improve performance of job duties. Must be self-starter with own continuous improvement agenda. Must have an energy level and attention to detail that routinely delivers expected results. Works to improve production efficiency and quality to reduce process and equipment related downtime. Seeks out additional training so as to improve job performance. Demonstrates above average job performance and leadership abilities to prepare for possible advancement
