This position will oversee various residences throughout Suffolk County.
General Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for overall administration of assigned residences, including regulation compliance, staff supervision & training, monitoring of budgets and physical plant issues, and ensure quality of care for the individuals served.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Insure adequate coverage of all residences, i.e., monthly staffing/scheduling.
Insure proper correspondence with parents and outside providers, i.e., day programs, DDSO, caseworkers.
Supervise financial component.
Inspect the DDP's for accurate completion and documentation.
Relay state and agency policy to staff. Insure quality care service.
Audit preparation of consumer records to meet state and federal regulations.
Coordinate, attend, and insure accurate completion of incident review component.
Weekly supervision of managers/assistant managers. Maintain weekly residence managers/assistant managers staff meetings.
Conduct staff evaluations - residence managers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
Interview and hire residence mangers, assistant managers, and clinical team.
Rotating on call administrator.
Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Residential Program-Managers, Social Workers; Applied Behavior Specialists, Nurses and Recreation Therapists. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises various non-supervisory employees.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to three years related experience and/or training. OPWDD experience. Valid NYS Driver License plus one year driving experience required.
