Direct OEM Sales Representative

Directly responsible for support of Defined Direct OEM Customer Base within assigned region/sales territory. Identification of Opportunities and Threats within the customer base. Follow-up on Assigned Leads. Maintain CRM database. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop relationships with key contacts (Purchasing / Engineering) -customer / application knowledge for defined customer base. Develop customer contact cadence to maintain business & gain new opportunities. Update CRM database accordingly. Provide pricing, address price increases, margin calculations to maintain and grow base business. Provide ongoing customer support, order updates, expediting etc. Manage the return process to provide timely responses, maintain clear and empathetic communication with the customer. Evaluate inquiries to determine technical and commercial solution viability. Interface with Territory Managers, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, etc. as necessary to maintain and grow Direct OEM business. Assist with the development of sales forecasts for customer base when required. Keep current on competitors, market trends/conditions, participate in pertinent trade shows and related activities. Hands On: do what is necessary - example; out in factory verifying order shipping on time, enter samples orders, deliver sample units to customers etc. Develop product knowledge based upon customer applications and opportunities. Continuous Improvement: Develops solutions to systems and processes, not just complain about them. Proactively identify process improvements to best fit customer needs. Deliver Results: Driven by the "goal" which is achieving the sales and margin goals for the defined MRT / sales territory. Quality First: Plan & execute for success, timely and reliable work. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 Years of Successful customer service or entry level sales role, preferably in a technical B2B environment. Ability to communicate pricing, technical support information clearly via Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Proven ability to own the Sales Process from Pricing/Quotations to Order Entry hand-off. Ability to develop customer relationships that uncover new Opportunities and warn of Threats. Strong organizational skills to track customer interaction, account maintenance. Ability to maintain productive customer relationships via remote (Stratford, CT) based setting.
