The Great Basin College Foundation is seeking a creative, reliable, and detail-oriented student worker to support its communications, marketing, and fundraising efforts. This position offers hands-on experience in content creation, digital outreach, and donor engagement while helping advance the Foundation's mission to support student success and community partnerships. Qualifications: Must be a student of Great Basin College Must be enrolled in 6 credits and maintain a 2.0 GPA Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services Strong writing, editing, and communication skills A creative mindset and enthusiasm for storytelling and community engagement Experience with social media platforms and basic content scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Meta Business Suite) Familiarity with Google Workspace Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks Interest or experience in nonprofit work, marketing, or fundraising is a plus Key Responsibilities: Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) Write and edit content for the Foundation's e-newsletter, donor spotlights, and campaign updates Capture and edit photos and short videos at Foundation-sponsored events Support development and maintenance of a content calendar and communications strategy Conduct research and gather student or donor success stories for use in campaigns and appeals Provide communications support for fundraising activities, including Giving Days, donor appeals, and event promotion Help prepare materials for fundraising campaigns, thank-you messaging, and donor recognition Assist with event planning and execution, including logistics, setup, and on-site support Perform other administrative or communications tasks as assigned Salary: $13.00 per hour Hours: Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
