TP Data Center Engineer
The Data Center Engineer serves as a subject matter expert in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex Cisco-based data center infrastructures. They handle escalated incidents, architect solutions, and lead root cause analysis efforts. Qualifications
Cisco ACI Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with APIC, fabric setup, contracts, policies, and multi-site Capable of troubleshooting fabric discovery issues, endpoint learning problems, and L3Out configurations Routing & Switching (Advanced): Strong knowledge and hands-on with OSPF, BGP, route maps, redistribution, and peering Experience designing and implementing high-availability networks and failover scenarios Cisco Nexus Deep-Dive: Expertise with NX-OS, vPC, FabricPath, VXLAN, EVPN Configuration and troubleshooting of Nexus 2k/5k/7k/9k Storage Networking: Proficient in Fibre Channel switching, SAN routing, MDS switches Integrating storage systems (NetApp, EMC, Pure) with Cisco networking Automation & Scripting: Experience with Python, Ansible, or Terraform for data center automation Working knowledge of REST APIs (especially ACI APIs) Troubleshooting & Design: Advanced packet-level analysis with Wireshark or Cisco tools Leads problem management, performs RCA (root cause analysis) for recurring issues Participates in data center design, migrations, and upgrades Cross-Team Leadership: Works with storage, compute, and security teams for end-to-end solutions Mentors L2 engineers, contributes to knowledge base and SOPs Certifications (Preferred): Cisco CCNP Data Center or CCIE Data Center (or equivalent) Specialist-level ACI certifications (DCACI, DCID) Be Part of Our TP Family It is our mission to always provide an environment where our employees feel valued, inspired, and supported, so that they can bring their best selves to work every day.
