Emergency Medical Technician
An EMT, or Emergency Medical Technician, responds to emergency situations by stabilizing patients before taking them to a medical care facility. Their main duties include transporting patients to hospitals, driving emergency vehicles safely and responsibly and quickly responding to calls made by Dispatchers. EMT's can work in a variety of settings but typically work in the Emergency Room hospital area. Education/Requirements: High School education is required along with completion of a state approved formal training program. Current EMT certification required CEVO ambulance certificate often required Valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record
