The Associate Tax Consultant assists and supports team members in performing Real Estate and/or Business Personal Property assessment reviews for DMA clients, to achieve maximum tax savings and provide other state and local tax consulting services.

Position Summary

Join a collaborative team that bridges Business Development and Property Tax to uncover opportunities and deliver measurable tax savings for clients. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates eager to build a foundation in property tax analysis, real estate, and data strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Engage with regional tax experts to explore local market trends, valuation challenges, and client targeting strategies Conduct property research using jurisdictional websites and data platforms to support strategic decision-making Transform raw tax and assessment data into structured, actionable insights using Excel-based models Support valuation reviews to help identify properties with potential tax overassessments Deliver curated lead lists with clear business cases to drive outreach by Property Tax and Business Development teams

Education and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Experience in real estate, valuation, property tax, or accounting preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.) Familiarity with CoStar preferred Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Self-starter who thrives in both independent and team settings
