Mechanical Designer/Drafter
Selectek is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Drafter for a manufacturing firm in the Kennesaw, GA area that specializes in producing custom canopies, awnings, and menu boards for national restaurant chains. This role involves creating and revising detailed production drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will work alongside a team of sales and field operations professionals to ensure that each design meets customer requirements and manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities: Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Generate detailed multi-view part and assembly drawings Modify existing design templates per customer specifications Collaborate closely with sales and field teams to align designs with client expectations Apply drafting standards, manufacturing knowledge, and mechanical design practices Interpret architectural drawings and incorporate them into mechanical layouts Requirements: 15+ years of CAD experience, specifically with SolidWorks 15+ years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer usage Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic math calculations Ideal Candidate Traits: Professional appearance (company prefers no visible tattoos or major facial hair) Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment Pay: $25$30/hr. | Direct Salary: $50K$63K | Type: 6-month Temp-to-Perm Schedule: Flexible hours (typical range 7:00 AM
