The Opportunity This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we're committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels. As a Manager, Strategic Pricing and Contracting, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally with Legal, Account Management, Finance, and other departments on contract development and pricing strategies. The role has a strong focus on leading contract negotiations, and ensuring they are consistent with pricing strategies, legal guidelines, and company policies. This position requires a motivated self-starter, with strong attention to detail and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA. What You'll Do Work cross-functionally to optimize access in Hospital, POC, Government, Clinical, and others, maximizing the value for Abbott and People Living with Diabetes Coordinate legal review and approval of contracts. Spearhead the negotiation and redlining of complex arrangements. Track and monitor contract performance and resolve any contract-related disputes. Support sales and revenue modeling and provide decision support for Hospital and POC Channels Leading projects & process improvement initiatives within Contracts & Pricing Maintaining accurate files, providing timely updates to management, coordinating multiple deadlines, and re-prioritizing efforts as needed. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management. Experience You'll Bring Required Bachelor's Degree Minimum 7 years of related experience Experience in overseeing a team of contracting professionals, providing guidance and support Understanding of the organization's strategy and understand how day-to-day activities support this strategy Experience working with or in a sales environment Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communications, good presentation skills Must have excellent analytical skills with ability to perform moderately complex financial calculations Preferred 5+ years experience in Healthcare contracting Knowledge of pricing strategies Demonstrates strong customer orientation/focus Proven ability to successfully manage complexity, solve business problems, and build strong relationships in a collaborative work environment. Manage ambiguity by questioning data and/or stakeholder for further nuanced information. Attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with Tableau or other visual analytics/BI software packages a plus
