Job Description Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Shift: Monday - Friday with one weekend day per month
Job Description: Join a dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital environment where clinicians effectively treat a diverse range of diagnoses, including orthopedics, neurological, and critical care caseloads. We are currently seeking Physical Therapist Assistants who are passionate about providing exceptional care and possess at least one (1) year of acute hospital experience. We also welcome new graduates with robust acute clinical rotations to apply.
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality physical therapy services according to individualized treatment plans. - Document patient progress towards identified rehabilitation objectives accurately and timely. - Oversee compliance within the department concerning documentation practices. - Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and effective communication. - Provide patient and family education on therapy processes and expectations. - Exhibit strong flexibility, time management, and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate: - Thrives in a team-oriented and energetic setting. - Committed to ongoing education and learning to enhance patient care. - Values one-on-one interactions with patients and builds enduring relationships. - Proficient in providing therapy services across all age groups.
Qualifications: - Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program. - Current state licensure or eligibility for Physical Therapy in Maryland. - Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. - Demonstrated proficiency in time management and leadership. - Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation.
