The primary focus of this position will be to provide support activities relating to the life-cycle management of IT assets, including the maintenance and management of centralized inventory control, in-processing of new IT orders/equipment, verifying acceptance of delivery, comparing packing slips and purchase orders, assessing equipment for damage, and notifying the customer of any discrepancy. Responsibilities
Receive, track, and inventory equipment Stage, image, test, and issue equipment to customers and IT Service Desk staff Clean, perform diagnostic tests and re-image returns Organize, label, and maintain device storage area Rely on instructions and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Ability to perform wall-to-wall inventory and capture post snapshot changes accurately Retrieve accountable assets from secure storage locations Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Inventory and Asset Management Monitor tickets and respond to moderately complex customer inquiries relating to assets Provides troubleshooting assistance to students, faculty, and staff to resolve computer problems and issues Provide Technical hardware support for customers on a range of devices, including but not limited to; Apple Products and Windows Products Triage assets & be able to diagnose and recommend cosmetic or OS repairs required Manage warranty repairs with vendors, and complete them with a high level of quality and attention to detail Compile repair data and provide performance reporting to management Update of inventory system at all times relating to assets status Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Asset/Inventory Management experience relating to the life-cycle management of IT assets through an Asset Management Database System. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suites "Excel and Outlook" and Dell and Apple devices. Ability to communicate verbally or in written form strongly desired. Organization skills to balance and prioritize work. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Duties performed on-site. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with networked computers or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
