Essential Duties And Responsibilities Carry luggage to guest rooms. Handling of baggage for tour groups. Be a welcome ambassador for all who enter the hotel lobby. Knowledgeable of all hotel amenities to communicate with hotel guests. Assist in maintaining the concierge's desk in absence of bell captain or concierge. Always maintain Leading Hotels of the World and Forbes Travel Standards. Man doorman's position in his absence. Check out and assist guest with luggage. Store luggage into the bell closet for late departure guests. Assist with any other requirements by guests of the hotel. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description. Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Communication
Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers. Must read, write and speak the English language fluently. Knowledge of Spanish helpful.
Computer skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel.
