Maintenance Technician
Location: Abilene, TX Direct Hire position Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and machinery in optimal working condition, performing necessary repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance. This role requires adherence to all company policies and processes and does not include supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and building facilities as needed. Understand and follow emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure. Perform equipment repairs as required for breakdowns. Oversee the maintenance of the facility and all related equipment. Collaborate closely with production to ensure timely product output that meets the highest food safety and quality standards. Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Troubleshoot motor controls, including HMIs and PLCs. Diagnose issues with automation components such as HMIs, PLCs, I/O modules, and VFDs. Identify communication systems on automation devices. Perform basic programming of PLCs. Design and implement innovations and improvements to enhance equipment efficiency, safety, and reliability. Sanitary welding experience is a plus, though not required. Qualifications And Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. A technical or vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferred, as well as prior experience in bakery environments. Experience: 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience is required.
