Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) located in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking Unit Secretary/Telemetry Tech to join its team! Duties: Accurately interpret cardiac rhythm strips every 4 hours Report rhythm changes immediately to primary care nurse Operate speaker and phone system and complete emergency calls for staff Track monitored patients at all times Provides general administrative, clerical and support services to the clinical unit assigned Ensures optimal and safe patient care by supporting medical and nursing staff Keeps medical records and all patient care related documents secured and in compliance with state and federal regulations Greet visitors and direct them to patient rooms Performs receptionist duties Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent (GED). Current BLS certification. Successful completion of Basic EKG Monitoring Course. Previous experience in rhythm interpretation, previous experience as a Telemetry Technician preferred.
