Product Design Engineer

As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete engineering design of our products, including drawings, bill of materials, performance curves, and technical documentation. You'll support unique customer orders, collaborate across global design centers, and provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecyclefrom concept to field support. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain product designs including manufacturing, assembly, and general arrangement drawings, BOMs, manuals, performance curves, and procedures. Execute engineering work for customer orders: drawings, calculations, documentation, and technical support. Coordinate design activities across domestic and international teams. Design new pump models and product structures for expanding product lines. Support Project and Application Engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate order execution. Provide technical support to manufacturing, testing, purchasing, planning, quality, sales, and service teams. Lead new product introductions including prototypes, first article inspections, and production troubleshooting. Assist field service teams in diagnosing and resolving field issues. Maintain technical documentation, specifications, and ERP item master data. Manage engineering change processes, non-conformance reports, and warranty claims. Create and maintain product performance curves and support test lab activities. Collaborate with supply chain to develop global supplier capabilities. Drive cost reduction and value enhancement through continuous design improvements and VA/VE initiatives. Success metrics include: Timely delivery of engineering outputs High-quality documentation and design accuracy Effective configuration management and process adherence Reduction in field service issues and non-conformance reports Achievement of personal business objectives Preferred skills and qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) 3+ years of engineering experience in product design or related field EIT certification or PE license preferred Strong understanding of engineering principles and pump systems or related equipment Proficiency in SolidWorks Experience with ERP systems and GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) Pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
