Material Handling Associate II

Shift Details: Monday-Friday 12:00am

8:00am. Required overtime will be mandatory. Up to 4 hours daily depending on company needs. Weekend production will be required on a needed basis. Material Handling contributes to Cardinal Health by being responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Material Handling uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Job Summary The Associate II of Material Handling is responsible for ensuring the orderly movement of raw material and or finished goods. They also record and maintain accurate inventory records for either raw material and or finished goods. Responsibilities Unloads trucks by using a stand-up forklift or stand-up clamp lift. Use system to check in products. Track inventory, keep count of product, and stacking product accordingly. Stores products in warehouse locations using stand-up forklift/ stand-up clamp lift primarily. Picks products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks. Bring products to the line for manufacturing. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred 1-2 years related work experience and/or training preferred 1-2 years experience with operating stand-up forklifts preferred 1-2 years experience with operating stand-up clamp lift preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods Adheres to all quality guidelines Works under moderate degree of supervision Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.
