Telecommunications Lead
The Telecommunications Lead is responsible for managing and supporting telecommunication systems, including Cisco VoIP, analog systems, and mobile communication devices such as iPhones, iPads, and mobile Wi-Fi. This role involves overseeing service delivery, maintaining technical documentation, leading projects, and ensuring compliance with security and risk management standards. Key Responsibilities: Telecommunications Management:
Oversee Cisco VoIP and analog phone systems. Manage mobile communication devices and related services. Maintain and update operational documentation.
Project & Service Management:
Lead the implementation of new telecommunication solutions. Manage workload distribution and workflow efficiency. Assign and track ServiceNow tickets to ensure timely resolution.
Technical Expertise & Compliance:
Maintain expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP. Ensure compliance with relevant security and risk management frameworks. Create and maintain technical documents for processes and system functions.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Mentor and guide junior team members. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address telecommunication needs. Foster collaboration within the IT team to enhance service delivery.
Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with ServiceNow and meeting SLA targets. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education & Experience: 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications. At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Certifications: Preferred: DoD 8140/8570 Compliant (e.g., Security+ CE, Telecom certification/Call Manager) or ability to obtain required certifications. Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Confidential security clearance.
