The Director of Operations will oversee and optimize manufacturing and production, including supply chain, quality assurance, process improvement, logistics, and facilities. This leadership role requires a proactive leader capable of driving results, streamlining systems, and building strong cross-functional teams in a highly regulated, fast-paced industry. The ideal candidate is decisive, with a deep understanding of defense manufacturing, compliance standards, and continuous improvement methodologies. Nationality Requirements
Candidates must be eligible for security clearance due to the sensitive nature of our programs. Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and tactical leadership over manufacturing, production planning, inventory, procurement, quality, and facilities. Ensure operational excellence through KPI development, root cause analysis, and lean manufacturing principles. Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Drive operational readiness and scalability for new contracts and regulatory changes. Manage and mentor department teams. Maintain compliance with ITAR, ISO, and AS9100 standards. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, budgeting, and growth initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related; Master’s or MBA preferred. 10+ years in operations, preferably in defense, aerospace, or complex manufacturing. At least 5 years in leadership roles. Strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, and quality systems. Experience in regulated, fast-paced environments. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Proficiency in ERP, supply chain, and manufacturing analytics.
