Within the Business Cards & Payments organization, our Field Sales teams work with Small and Mid-Sized Business owners to create long-term, meaningful relationships, understanding their business and B2B wallet. Our National Sales Team helps mid-sized business owners optimize rewards and benefits through a consultative approach. This role will lead a team of sellers within a specific geographic market, responsible for achieving revenue and financial objectives. You will recruit, onboard, and train new sellers, and support Relationship Managers. As a Local Market Leader (LML), reporting to the Regional Vice President of Regional Sales, you will build and lead high-performing, locally based sales teams to meet objectives including recruiting, onboarding, training, and daily leadership. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deliver growth and profitability by exceeding targets in purchase volume, new accounts, account penetration, profit, cost, and productivity while providing excellent customer and associate experiences. Provide sales leadership, direction, and program management within your team. Build a sales culture aligned with broader strategies and help your team achieve their goals. Participate in strategic planning with leadership to drive growth, market share, revenue, cross-sell, and customer retention. Ensure all customer interactions comply with legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines. Develop partnerships with support teams and local banking relationships. Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and collaborate with Relationship Managers. Partner with other LMLs to ensure consistent sales strategy execution. Advocate for customer and employee feedback to foster continuous improvement. Coach and develop sales professionals and yourself. Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of outside B2B sales experience. At least 3 years in sales management or peer coaching roles. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management. 6+ years of outside sales experience. 5+ years in sales leadership. Portfolio management experience. Experience partnering with Small Businesses and in the financial industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com. Note: Capital One will not sponsor employment authorization for this position. Salary range for this territory is $155,000. The role is eligible for performance-based incentives.
