Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in cardiac cath lab License: Licensed Radiologic Technologist Certifications: BLS, ARRT or RCIS Must-Have: - Cardiac cath lab experience greater than 1 year - Preferred experience in electrophysiology, EPIC, and MacLab Description: This position is located in a cardiac catheterization lab. The duration of the contract is 13 weeks. Shifts are during the day from 7 AM to 5 PM. There is a requirement for 1 mandatory call shift per week and every fourth weekend. Weekend call starts at 7 AM on Saturday and goes to 7 AM on Monday. The lab tends to see approximately 20 patients a day across all labs. It is a fast-paced, high-acuity cath lab. Structural heart procedures are also performed, including Watchman’s, TAVR, and Mitraclip. General responsibilities include performing advanced practice cardiac cath and peripheral angiography, electrophysiologic studies, therapeutic interventional procedures, and cardiac device implantation procedures. The role involves providing peri-procedural care and education for patients. The tech also assists cardiologists and other specialists in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintaining records and documentation for procedures is essential. Preferred experience includes working with pacemaker devices, ablations, and ICD insertions. The facility houses two electrophysiology labs and five cath labs.
