Supports new product development activities in a Product Development and/or R&D environment by creating new software functionality and/or processes utilizing engineering principles. Your Impact Provides software engineering support for the design and implementation of products through various stages of product development. Develops and writes programs to test functions of the unit. Collaborates with engineers and scientists for testing input. Creates programs for test result analysis. Writes test matrix plans. Understands customer requirements and utilizes unit knowledge for programming. Debugs software and adjusts programming as needed. Uses debugging tools to identify and resolve issues. Works closely with hardware engineers for end-to-end product integration and debugging. Analyzes data to verify prototype efficiency and reliability, and assesses product feasibility and manufacturability. Documents design processes, maintains records of improvements, and performs statistical data analysis to draw conclusions. Leads projects or teams in prototype development, design reviews, and offers suggestions for improvements. Manages detailed project schedules across disciplines. Consults with management, production, QA, research personnel, and customers to determine engineering feasibility, cost, reliability, and design issues. Documents software development, testing, and assembly processes. Presents findings to management and peers. Mentors and trains less experienced engineers. About You: Skills & Expertise Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or related field with 8-12 years experience in R&D, medical, or related application development in C/C++. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills. Experience with C, C++, C# in Windows and Linux environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to debug complex code problems. Effective working independently and in teams. Capable of leading projects. Ability to create and present technical reports and papers. Must be 18+ years old.
