Traffic Engineer

Osborn Engineering . Osborn Engineering is seeking highly skilled Traffic Engineers with 10-20 years of experience on ODOT-type design projects for our Cleveland, Ohio office location. This position reports to the Manager of Transportation Engineering and collaborates with the Director of Municipal and Transportation Engineering, as well as Transportation Project Managers and engineering staff, to meet and exceed client expectations efficiently. The firm is employee-owned, emphasizing pride and dedication in project completion, with a strong focus on its people. Position Responsibilities
Work closely with Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers to design and develop roadway/highway improvement projects across Ohio and Florida. Model and develop traffic improvement solutions for local roads, highways, and interstates. Perform traffic control studies and design, including lane and roadway reconfiguration, interchange modifications, IOS, MOT, signalization, pavement marking/striping, and signing. Apply critical thinking to develop, evaluate, and modify engineering standards, techniques, and procedures. Engage with clients and sub-consultants regarding current projects. May require periodic field observations during construction and responding to RFIs. Job Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 10+ years of experience in transportation project delivery. PE License in Ohio. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of AASHTO and ODOT Design Criteria. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, Geopak, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Commitment to ongoing learning and training.
