Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team and to support the accounting department as our business needs evolve. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in supporting daily financial operations, focusing on Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and general accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of accounting experience who is eager to grow within a dynamic organization.*Key Responsibilities:*· Manage the day-to-day AR and AP processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations· Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger· Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures· Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards· Maintain accurate and organized financial records· Support internal and external audits with requested documentation· Help identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting*Qualifications:*· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience· 2–4 years of accounting experience, including AR and AP responsibilities· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel· Strong attention to detail and accuracy· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment· Excellent communication and organizational skills*Preferred Qualifications:*· Experience with ERP systems· Familiarity with GAAP principles· Prior experience in a small to mid-sized companyJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to FridayAbility to Commute:* Downers Grove, IL 60515 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Downers Grove, IL 60515: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
