Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented BIM/CAD Designer to join our quickly growing consulting team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software applications, working in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry. As a BIM/CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of MEP design projects, ensuring accuracy, standardization, and adherence to schedules.
Duties Create detailed 2D and 3D models using Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD software. Draft MEP designs and layouts for various projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to meet design requirements. Build and modify existing designs based on feedback and project needs while maintaining high-quality standards. Interact with external team members, including building owners, architects, building officials, and other consultants. Visit jobsites to acquire data and attend meetings with our engineers. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions. Position allows for rapid advancement within the organization.
Requirements Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software is essential. Proficiency using Microsoft office software (Outlook, Excel, Word,etc.) as well as BlueBeam Revu software. Strong understanding of drafting techniques and standards. Excellent attention to detail, and strong organization skills, with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills (oral and written) to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Ability to adapt to new technologies and software as needed for project requirements. A degree in engineering is preferred but not mandatory. Autodesk certification is preferred but not mandatory. Experience designing MEP systems is preferred but not mandatory. Interest in learning HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical design/engineering from a mentor is preferred.
