We are seeking a Software Developer to support a customer in the national security sector.
In this role, you will contribute to the International Affairs (IA) office of a large Intelligence Community (IC) agency by enhancing software capabilities that drive business process improvements and knowledge management. You will lead requirements gathering, manage user engagement, and deliver tailored solutions that meet IA's operational needs.
Responsibilities: Support software development and maintenance efforts for IA office tools and capabilities Coordinate and lead requirements gathering and delivery Conduct software testing, content management, and workforce training Analyze system capabilities and recommend technical/process improvements Document, test, and debug software applications Develop embedded software for real-time and near real-time operating systems Collaborate with IA leadership to develop communication plans for tool transitions Prepare operating instructions, and develop compilers, utility programs, and OS components as needed
Must Have's: Active and maintained Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance (Federal or DoD) Bachelor's degree 13+ years of professional experience OR a Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience, including 4+ years in Software Engineering
Nice to Have's: TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph Experience with software quality processes and configuration/change management systems such as CMMI Background in security development operations (SecDevOps) Experience with SharePoint custom workflows Familiarity with international affairs technology requirements and IC coordination Experience in knowledge management, business intelligence, and process improvement Proven leadership coordinating technology efforts across teams Expertise in UI design, site animation, and maintaining associated systems Experience hosting on classified networks Strong hands-on programming experience in Python Experience with scripting for network automation Knowledge of web-based technologies: HTML, object-oriented programming, graphics software, and content management systems Background working in CI/CD, DevOps, or Agile environments
Location: Springfield, Virginia 22151
Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 annually
