Software Engineer 1/2/3
at our headquarters in Richmond, VA. RESPONSIBILITIES Software Engineer 1:
Assists in writing, modifying, and maintaining simple software programs or engineering releases under supervision. Performs limited systems analysis work and collaborates with a business unit on specific projects. Work is closely checked, and errors may cause minor delays or expenses. Software Engineer 2:
Develops or modifies moderately complex software applications and information systems from specifications. Assists with design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Guides less experienced engineers and works on specific projects with some guidance on complex issues. Software Engineer 3:
Independently formulates specifications for complex software applications, modifies existing applications, and works on high-level system applications. Responsible for multi-project assignments within a business unit, guiding less experienced engineers, and ensuring project progress.
Experience/Qualifications Software Engineer 1:
0-2 years of experience, basic knowledge of OS/390, Unix, NT, and software troubleshooting skills. Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics. Software Engineer 2:
3-4 years of experience, knowledge in Unix/Linux, Windows NT, middleware, and security skills. Bachelors degree in relevant fields. Software Engineer 3:
5+ years of experience, in-depth knowledge of operating systems, middleware, and security. Bachelors degree in relevant fields.
