We are currently seeking a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter for future openings at Phillips66.
Responsibilities
Maintain Wood River Refinery Safety Training through HASC annually. Maintain EMT license and CPR/AED to keep current and renewed as needed. Day-to-day operations and maintenance of fire station(s) and the apparatus and personnel assigned to that station. Member of emergency response team and responds to all emergency scenes with designated apparatus including fires, EMS, hazmat, technical rescue incidents. Maintain and safely operate apparatus, tools and equipment. Operate fire apparatus pump to supply water to emergency scene. Maintain and operates radio and phone communication with fellow firefighters and captain. Responsible to always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Follows directions and orders given by supervisor or incident command staff. Maintain cleanliness and order in fire station, apparatus, service vehicles and offices. Communicate any deficiencies, safety concerns, incidents to their shift Captain in a timely manner. Complete any required reports on the same shift of occurrence. Knowledge of location or access to all standard operating procedures, policies, employee handbook, etc. Participate in required trainings delivered while on shift. May be required to attend trainings off-shift. Complete all assigned tasks provided by supervisor. Understand and follow chain-of-command. Complete pickup and delivery of product samples to the proper location, using care and safety measures to protect samples from damage or leaks. Complete all assigned Apparatus, Vehicle, and Equipment Inventories & Inspections. Complete and stay current on certifications to operate forklifts, scissor lifts. Conduct contractor drug/alcohol screening when needed. Knowledge and understands boat and river safety. Conduct all Inspections required by client up to and including:
Fire Extinguishers Smoke Detection & Alarm systems AED Inspections Emergency Lights and GFCIs Firewater System Inspections (fire hydrants, block valves, fire monitors, hydrant monitors, mini-manifolds, large diameter manifolds) Fire Protection Systems (fire pumps, sprinklers, deluge, clean agent, standpipes) Fire Apparatus & Vehicle Inspections SCBA Inspections PPE, Firefighter turnout gear, rope rescue gear Tank Foam Chamber Inspections
Qualifications
Minimum age requirement of 18 years or older Must possess High School diploma or equivalent Must possess valid Driver's License and able to obtain Illinois Class B Non-CDL driver's license or equivalent within 90 days of hire Must possess National or Illinois EMT License Must possess current CPR/AED certification Must have completion or certification through an accredited college, State Academy, IFSAC, or Pro Board of the following: Firefighter II (IL OSFM), OR Basic Operations Firefighter Certification, OR Industrial Fire Brigade Member (NFPA 1081), within (1) one year of hire Hazardous Materials Operations (OSHA, 29 CFR 1910.120) Must have completion of NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 Minimum of 1 year of experience in firefighting and/or EMS Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check Expected to obtain within one year of hire date: DISA Drug Test Collector Certification Lifeloc Breath Alcohol Technician Certification Forklift, scissor lift, and other lift Certification Rope Rescue Operations Benefits

Salary or Wage Range
USD $28.45 - HKD $28.45 /Hr. rates offered based on years of experience and full time scheduled templates. Additional earnings via bi-weekly bonus up to $4.00 /HR.
