$30 – $35/hour . It is remote, with a preference for candidates in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Virginia. Role Overview:
We seek a Workday HR IT Analyst with hands-on configuration experience, focusing on Absence Management and Compensation modules. The role involves configuring union pay rule automation, supporting compensation increases, and system improvements for a unionized workforce. This is a technical configuration position working closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams, not a business analyst role. Exposure to Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Configure and maintain Workday Absence and Compensation modules, including rules, logic, business processes, and security. Support automation of union pay rules and across-the-board increases. Build, test, and document configurations ensuring compliance and accuracy. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement changes. Participate in system testing, documentation, and enhancements, including adaptive planning (preferred). Required Experience: 1–3 years of direct Workday configuration experience, especially in Absence and Compensation. Knowledge of union pay structures and automation within Workday. Ability to independently build and maintain configurations. Experience with Workday integrations (e.g., DocuSign). Cross-functional team support experience. Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus. Key Skills & Competencies: Workday technical skills in HCM configuration. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication with technical and non-technical teams. Process improvement mindset. Strong testing and documentation habits. Adaptability to new Workday features. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field. Workday certification in Absence or Compensation (preferred). Experience with Workday Extend and Adaptive Planning (a plus). Additional Details:
