Coverage Needed:
- ASAP - Ongoing
- 24-hour call coverage, 7a-7a
- 1-2 long weekends per month, preferably Thursday through Monday, but Friday through Monday is acceptable
Clinical Details:
- Hospital-based at a Level I Trauma Center
- Over 100,000 annual ER volume
- EMR: Epic
- 12 Operating Rooms
- 6 Neurosurgeons in practice
- Patient demographic: 17 and above
- Adult and trauma Neurosurgery cases, including tumor removal, brain bleed stoppage, trauma repair, shunt insertion or revision, cranial burr holes, intracranial pressure monitor or insertion, intracranial hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, neurocritical conditions, ventricular taps, ventriculoperitoneal shunt/taps/reprogramming, ventriculostomy, diskectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, spine stabilization and reconstruction, placement of arterial and venous access, administration of vasoactive or sedating substances, lumbar puncture, placement of lumbar drains, CSF sampling from shunts or external ventricular drains, EEG interpretation, management and interpretation of ICP and CCP data, external ventricular drain management, application and management of hypothermia
Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Active CO license
- Must be able to provide weekend coverage
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS
- COVID vaccine
- Fellowship - Preferred, but not Required
- No malpractice - Highly Preferred
