We are seeking a qualified Optometrist for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting on Sep 8, 2025. This role involves conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and advising patients on follow-up care, primarily within assisted living and nursing home settings. The work schedule is set for weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexible workdays available. Job Details Location: Virginia Start Date: Sep 8, 2025 LOA: 36 days Provider Type Needed: Optometrist Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Days are flexible. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct comprehensive eye examinations. Diagnose and treat various ocular diseases. Prescribe medications, fit, and adjust eyeglasses as needed. Provide professional advice to patients, their families, and facility staff regarding eye health and follow-up care. Collaborate with staff across multiple facilities to ensure consistent patient care. Additional Information Geriatric and nursing home experience is highly preferred. Must hold a valid VA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Comfortable traveling to locations within a 2-hour radius of the central hub. Proficiency with Nextgen EMR system is required to document and manage patient information efficiently.
