About the role:
Currie & Brown is seeking a Senior Program Controls Manager with extensive construction knowledge to support a high-profile aviation client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, from inception to closeout, while ensuring alignment with the client’s specific protocols. This role requires coordination across five key airport departments, involving direct communication with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Utilities, and Construction Services teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interface directly with client Directors and departmental stakeholders.
- Lead and manage program controls from process inception through closeout.
- Review and evaluate change orders, cost reports, trade packages, and progress documentation.
- Conduct trade packet set reviews and ensure design coordination.
- Participate in cost and progress report meetings, ensuring deep understanding of report data.
- Walk the site as needed and maintain a strong on-the-ground presence.
- Lead initiatives for system/process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Utilize or become proficient with Primavera Unifier for project management workflows.
- Learn and adopt the client’s specific project delivery processes and train others across 5 departments.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication across MEP, Civil, and Utility divisions.
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of construction project lifecycles and cost management.
- Ability to review technical documents and complex reports with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite and walk the construction site as necessary.
- Familiarity with Primavera Unifier strongly preferred.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction and program controls
- Experience in public or aviation sector projects is a plus.
