Senior Marketing Manager – EF Language Abroad (Gap Segment)
Job Summary
We’re looking for an innovative, experienced, and goal-oriented Senior Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of the U.S. marketing program for EF Language Abroad , with an initial focus on the Gap Year segment . This is a hands-on role where you’ll drive awareness of EF’s immersive language schools across 11 global destinations and generate high-quality leads from prospective students and their parents.
You’ll develop and execute multi-channel growth strategies, optimize the U.S. marketing funnel, and use data-driven insights to improve performance and conversion. As part of a tight-knit U.S. team and a global marketing organization, you’ll collaborate across functions and borders to make a meaningful impact on a growing area of EF’s business. Over time, this role will expand to include additional customer segments beyond the Gap Year audience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Drive the strategy and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to attract U.S.-based students and parents, generating growth in lead generation for language-based Gap programs.
- Develop and execute quarterly integrated marketing plans and manage budgets, targeting key segments across a variety of demographics toward both short- and long-term performance goals.
- Own integrated campaigns from end to end, including ideation, planning, execution, deployment, and analysis across a variety of channels (e.g., paid digital, email, web, content, social media, SEO, print, outdoor, advertorial, partnerships, and events).
- Lead the strategy to A/B test campaigns and identify actionable insights to optimize results and improve performance at the top of the funnel.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance data.
- Use insights to continuously refine and improve marketing funnel performance.
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to identify and analyze opportunities in global channels to drive U.S. traffic, interest, lead generation, and booking conversion.
- Partner with the sales team to support their efforts to reach prospective students and parents through innovative, strategic, and out-of-the-box tactics (e.g., guerilla marketing, events, partnerships).
- Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across sales leadership, operations, global creative, video, technology, finance, and more.

- Proven (7+ years) marketing experience with a strong track record of success in creating high-performing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a love of numbers and data—this is a results-driven marketing position that requires a strong analytical mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement changes rapidly—you like to test, and you quickly act on what you learn to optimize marketing performance.
- Extensive knowledge of display, social, SEM and SEO, email, and significant experience using Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook Business Manager (and any other tool you think we should be using).
- Effective communicator and influencer with strong data presentation skills.
- Stellar attention to detail and love organization and process—if you’re not highly organized and can’t self-manage to goals and deadlines, this isn’t the right role for you.
- Curious about people and the world and have a strong belief that the world is better when people are exposed to new ideas, new cultures, and new places.
