Your expertise in CNC operation, setup, and machining will contribute directly to mission success in human spaceflight. You will be expected to fabricate high-value, tight-tolerance parts and support first-article success.Key Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis lathes Collaborate with engineering to document and standardize production processes Prioritize tasks aligned with production schedules and strategic goals Ensure quality assurance and engineering compliance on all machined parts Contribute to the company's mission of safe human spaceflight with a strong technical and quality mindsetQualifications:Required: Minimum 5 years of aerospace machining experience Proficient in machining materials such as Inconel, Monel, Copper, Aluminum, and Titanium Skilled with CNC machines like Mazak, Kuraki, Hermle, OM, DMG Mori Experience with both horizontal mills and mill/turns Familiar with CNC controls: Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol Strong blueprint reading and GD&T (ASME Y14.5M-1994) interpretation skills Must be able to lift 25 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined spaces U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required per ITAR compliancePreferred: Experience in tooling and fixture design Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) and CMM programming/operation Exposure to outside processing such as heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding CNC programming with Mastercam (X6-2018) or Unigraphics NX Familiarity with conversational CNC programming Forklift/crane operation experienceBenefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401(k) Retirement FundAbout the Company:Space Exploration CompanyWe are committed to building reusable launch vehicles and in-space systems for sustainable space exploration.
