DescriptionScott Manufacturing Solutions Inc. is looking for a Fabricator Welder II for our first shift who, under moderate supervision, operates arc and heliarc equipment to weld cabinets, frames, and small parts.ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibilities:•None.Duties/Responsibilities:•Check welding equipment for proper operation.•Set up a job for welding.•Obtain and position the clamps.•Prepare welding wire for feeding.•Level frame for welding, determine proper welding spots, types, and sizes given stress requirements.•Operate arc and heliarc welding equipment to weld cabinets and everything else that is required in a cabinet.•Use wrenches, ratchets, grinders, and hand tools as needed.•Service and maintain welding equipment.•Clean and maintain the work area.•Work primarily with other welders.•Responsible for consistently meeting quality and production standards.•May assist sheet metal, fabrication, grinding, and assembly work crews as needed.•Must consistently and properly wear PPE.QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:•Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.•Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems promptly.•Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures.•Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.•Attendance/Punctuality - Consistently at work and on time.•Ethics - Treats people with respect.Education and Experience:•High school diploma or GED equivalentPhysical Requirements:•Required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.•Required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.•Vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.•Ability to lift up to 25+ lbsA STATEMENT FROM SCOTT MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS HUMAN ASSETS DEPARTMENTScott Manufacturing Solutions has partnered with E-Verify to verify work eligibility in the United States.
