Job Summary The Lease Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Real Estate Department in tracking lease status, rents, landlord/tenant relations, payable/receivables (CAM, Taxes, Business Licenses). The coordinator will collaborate on related projects and initiatives with internal departments and external partners.
Position Overview The Lease Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Real Estate Department in tracking lease status, rents, landlord/tenant relations, payable/receivables (CAM, Taxes, Business Licenses). The coordinator will collaborate on related projects and initiatives with internal departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Consistent updating of lease portfolio database
Update Lease Abstracts identifying key terms/language
Assist in planning, development and execution of quarterly rent forecasts and annual budget projections
Reconcile monthly landlord statements
Preparation of monthly occupancy payments
Provide due diligence documentation reviews of executed document packages
Annual reconciliation review of Real Estate Tax, CAM, Insurance reconciliations
Tracking business licenses for portfolio
Special projects regarding subleasing language and negotiations, financial analysis, negotiations, and as needed projects upon request
Essential Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Aggressive negotiation skills when dealing with landlords.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Advanced Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint and Access abilities.
Attention to detail.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in a retail leasing/commercial property role.
