With over 1.1 million square-feet of sales and services facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Brazil - PAG's 27 locations and customer-focused business model serve aviation customers through Supply Chain and Inventory Supported Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (ISMRO) services.JOB PURPOSEWe are seeking motivated candidates for this position which involves set up and operating of manual lathes and Bridgeport's, Hurco, and Okuma to machine surfaces of precision sheet metal aircraft engine components and parts. Would be ideal for someone with tool making experience.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Job Functions:Restore components by operating manual lathes, Bridgeport's, Hurco and Okuma.Measure and examine completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.Uses OEM prints and design sketches to ensure proper outcome of repair.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.May also fabricate or modify fixtures and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal working, layout, lapping and cleaning procedures.Become fully trained and fluent on all parts with all machines.Follow AWT's FAA Quality System.Repair customer parts with care, craftsmanship and quality in a timely manner to meet the production schedule.Machine parts using required fixtures in accordance with the manufacturer's technical data and company procedures.Work in other areas as needed.Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all preventative maintenance schedules.JOB SPECIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience.Must be good with all measuring devices.Must be self-motivated and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.Must possess successful track record of achieving operational goals in a highly competitive, fast-paced and unpredictable production environment.Must read/write and interpret English.Must be able to work first shift ranging from 7:00am-4:30pmMUST BE ABLE TO PASS FAA/DOT INITIAL AND RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTS ALONG WITH FULL BACKGROUND SCREENING.WORKING CONDITIONSPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Work Location: Aviation Welding Technologies, LLC 73 Commerce Drive, Uxbridge, MAEducation/Training: Minimum of a H. S. Diploma or GED.Experience: Minimum of 5 years 'experience.
