Reporting to the Head of Financial Crimes Transaction Monitoring, this position aims to establish GFCD Operations Intelligence & Analytics capabilities, focusing on detection scenario development, system tuning, customer segmentation, and analytics support to improve transaction monitoring and mitigate financial crime risks. Major Responsibilities:

Develop mathematical or statistical models to interpret customer KYC and transaction data for customer segmentation and monitoring thresholds. Identify trends in transactional data for AML monitoring and visualize findings for senior management. Create representative samples for testing to validate transaction monitoring effectiveness. Process large datasets for statistical modeling and analysis. Validate models, document rationales, and develop experimental designs for new typologies and risks. Develop data mining methodologies using logistic regression, random forests, XGBoost, Bayesian networks, etc. Support policy development for AML transaction monitoring, including scenario validation and system optimization. Coordinate with regional teams to implement global models and ensure operational efficiency. Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics. Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data analysis. At least 3 years' experience with BSA/AML models or sanctions screening models. Over 5 years' experience in financial data analytics or statistics. Experience with financial crime systems and compliance regulations (FATF, FinCEN, OFAC, etc.). Proven skills in quantitative testing, machine learning, neural networks, and fuzzy logic. Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field. The role offers a base salary between $126k-$164k, with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including health, retirement, and paid leave.
