JOB TITLE: WelderDEPARTMENT: ProductionREPORTS TO: Production SupervisorCLASSIFICATION: HourlyPAY: Starting at $22.50/hrBENEFITS: Medical, Retirement, PTO, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD/LTD, and EAP.Purpose and Scope: At Sage Oil Vac, Inc. our Welders play a vital role in the fabrication of high-quality fluid handling equipment by using welding techniques to join metal components, ensuring the reliability and durability of our products.Key Responsibilities:WeldingPerform welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, STICK, and other welding processes, to join various metal components, following technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.FabricationParticipate in the fabrication and assembly of components used in Sage Oil Vac equipment, such as tanks, frames, brackets, and other metal structures.Quality AssuranceMaintain the highest standards of welding quality, inspecting completed work for accuracy and structural integrity to meet company and industry standards.Material HandlingSafely handle and store welding materials, gases, and equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.Welding Equipment MaintenanceEnsure welding equipment is properly maintained and promptly report any equipment issues or repair needs.Safety ComplianceStrictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.CollaborationWork collaboratively with other members of the fabrication and manufacturing team to achieve project goals and deadlines.Problem-SolvingUtilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to welding or component assembly and find practical solutions.DocumentationMaintain records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and any modification made to the standard procedures.Specific Tasks for PositionResponsible for keeping the welding area clean and in Assist other team members if Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, etc.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is highly desirable.Experience:Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in MIG and STICK welding techniques.Strong welding skills and the ability to produce high-quality welds with a focus on precision and accuracy.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.Knowledge of different metals and their welding procedures.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot welding-related issues.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety regulations.
