The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for managing the daily operations, staffing, and patient flow of assigned nursing units to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery. This position collaborates with patients, families, physicians, administration, and associates to provide high-quality care. Additionally, this role oversees the implementation of policies and procedures, compliance with healthcare standards, and resource management to maintain optimal patient outcomes. This position develops and monitors the clinical integrity of assigned programs, supports staff development, and fosters a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities for this role include strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and maintaining respectful relationships with all contacts.

Recruit, interview, and hire qualified nursing personnel to ensure adequate staffing levels. - Provide ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge, including orientation programs for new staff. - Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess staff competencies, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement. - Address and resolve conflicts among staff members promptly and effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. - Develop and manage the nursing unit's budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure efficient use of resources. - Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, using data and evidence-based practices to drive improvements. - Continuously monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, adjusting care plans and interventions as necessary to achieve optimal results. - Perform thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients to determine their health status and care needs. - Formulate and regularly update individualized patient care plans based on assessment data and clinical judgment. - Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care as necessary. - Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care. - Ensure adherence to healthcare standards and regulations.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Bachelor's of Nursing Required

Master's of Nursing Preferred

One or more years of Work Experience Required

Demonstrates proficient use of English language in verbal and written form.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Preferred

Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Preferred

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

Certified Hospice and Palliative RN (CHPN) - Cert Preferred

NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) Preferred

NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred

Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Preferred

Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol Advanced (NRPA) Preferred

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Preferred

Registered Nurse (RN) Required

Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) Preferred

Certification from a national organization Required

Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) Preferred

Certification in area of specialty Required

LEAN Leadership Certification Preferred

Nurse Management/Nurse Leader Certification Preferred

Restraint Management Training Preferred

Super User for First Net/Cerner Preferred
