System One is seeking a Desktop Support Technician III to join our team for a contract opportunity in Downers Grove, IL.
Duration: 6 Months
Contract to hire possible
Pay Rate Range: $29.00 - $33.00
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Subject to Change)
Summary
Handles more complex technical support tasks, including imaging, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software. Provides advanced troubleshooting for Windows, Office 365, and basic network/server issues. Escalates issues when needed and works closely with Desktop Support Technician II to resolve problems they escalate. This individual will ensure timely incident resolution and superior customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Image PC's and deploy applications using SCCM
Install, replace and configure hardware, as well as install and configure all standard business and engineering software
Perform general user and copier location moves for existing setups Perform hands-on advanced troubleshooting of Windows 10 & 11 OS, user desktops/laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral devices
Install and troubleshoot O365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and MS Office)
Basic network and server knowledge to assist in troubleshooting and repairs (replace bad disk drive, replace memory, restart server)
Perform installation and preventative maintenance of network and server equipment
Performing infrastructure mobilization and demobilization tasks to support changing construction environment
Manage Active Directory user accounts, including creating, deleting, modifying user accounts, and dealing with more complex account lockout issues
Documentation of IT processes to be utilized by the Service Desk and technical teams where needed
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines and troubleshooting
Experience with administration and support of PCs utilizing Windows 10 & 11 OS and Office 365 products
Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and an understanding of networking, switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs and wireless
Ability to stay focused in a highly demanding environment
Professional experience in customer service
Candidate must be detail oriented
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to elicit cooperation and action from individuals over which there is no supervisory relationship
Overtime work may be required
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to kneel and run cables under desks and other office furniture
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Ability to work at heights and in close spaces
Work Environment:
Work will be in a field construction environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Working out of a central IT office on the building site. The environment will consist of dirt and dust as well and will require crawling on floors, working on ladders, being outside at times. Weather conditions can vairy between high heat and humidity, to rainy and cold.
