Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for challenging problems and managing projects.

Responsibilities

Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment such as conveyors and pneumatic systems throughout the building.

Install and troubleshoot photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders.

Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.

Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks and provide feedback on improvements.

Essential Skills

4+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.

4+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.

4+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.

3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems.

Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer and Safety standards.

Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

Experience working and coordinating with vendors.

Continuous improvement mindset.

Willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Experience working with multiple stakeholders to coordinate complex maintenance activities.

Experience acting in a team lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians.

2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.

2+ years of experience working with PLC based controls systems.

2+ years of experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

Project Management experience.

1+ year of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and robotic components. Candidates should be comfortable with their performance being tracked by data and metrics. The position requires physical activity, including walking up to 10,000 steps per day and moving up to 49 pounds at a time. Applicants must be open to working any ten-hour shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
