Job Details
Responsibilities: As a Family Law Associate, you will be expected to:
1. Handle a wide range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence cases. 2. Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients in all family law matters. 3. Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. 4. Conduct thorough and meticulous research to support legal proceedings and to advise clients. 5. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations. 6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on their case. 7. Collaborate effectively with our team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Family Law Associate position will possess the following:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing family law, with a specific focus on child support and custody cases. 3. Current membership in good standing with the State Bar - Washington or Oregon 4. Demonstrated ability to manage a high caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines. 5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel. 6. Strong negotiation skills and courtroom acumen. 7. In-depth knowledge of family law procedures, regulations, and best practices. 8. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 9. High level of professionalism and respect for client confidentiality. 10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
