Job Details
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to champion continuous improvement and elevate internal quality metrics. You will lead efforts to reduce non-conformances, mitigate customer returns, and mentor junior team members, all while supporting production, auditing, and corrective programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Employ Six Sigma and lean methodologies to reduce scrap and rework * Lead corrective/preventative action programs to eliminate defects and returns * Develop training for operators, inspectors, and QA personnel * Manage customer returns through material review and corrective actions * Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions to meet quality standards * Support customer audits and respond to corrective requests * Select and train staff on product evaluation tools and software * Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field * Prior experience in aerospace or elastomer/plastics manufacturing preferred * Strong working knowledge of QA standards and continuous improvement tools * Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, communication, and multitasking * Self-motivated with leadership qualities and a sense of urgency * Bonus if you hold ASQ, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications
